New Year, New Me

Greetings everyone out in Blog Land! I hope that you are all enjoying some quality family time with friends and loved ones this holiday season! I am enjoying Winter Break immensely! One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to blog more! I REALLY miss it!

Scraptastical Kreations May Blog Hop!!

Fiesta!

Cinco de Mayo is almost here and I keep thinking about the friends and family that I love to celebrate this day with. Since I can't be with them this year, the next best thing will have to do. I'll send them these cards and remind them of the fun we used to have! I made these cards using the Fiesta file which is perfect to use for such a festive day! This file comes with so much more than what I used to make my cards. There is a cactus, hot peppers and sombrero just to name a few. This file is perfect for making a banner or invitations if you are having a party! Great for my crafty friends that live in the southwest too! My Father, My Hero

My husband is deploying next week for 6 months, so I made this layout to hang up in my son's room, so he can see Daddy's picture all the time. I'm not sure what's worse; being left alone in the states during a deployment or being left alone in a foreign country during a deployment. I guess I shall find out soon enough. I'm really happy the way this layout turned out because I haven't done one in awhile. I had a vision in my head and it turned out pretty much like I wanted it to.

 The files I used for this layout are the title, My Father My Hero, Stackables and Element Me This, from Scraptastical Kreations. The Element Me This file is really one of my favorites because I just LOVE the banners and it comes with soooo many other elements too. The stackables is a neat file too because there are other shapes that come in this file as well. I used some zots to make them really pop out. Such a fun file! Scraptastical Kreations, I'm Workin' It!!

After recently seeing myself in pictures, I am more inspired than ever to really start working out hard and going to the gym.I have a Smash Book that I have been using for a weight loss journal and also for motivation. I plan on holding myself accountable and made some things to help me. One of them is a little accordion book to keep track of when I go to the gym! I just HAD to use this cute little hippo from the file Workin' It. I am working on more accordion books for food dairy, measurements and possibly weekly weigh-ins. I will share them all when I'm done. These hippos are PERFECT for this project. I just love them. I loved the file when I first saw it in the store, but really fell in love with it when I finished putting it together!
