Inspired Stamps

Happy 4th of July! I hope you are all enjoying this time with your family. I'm preparing for my husband to come home on Wednesday and I'm so excited because I haven't seen him since January! Needless to say, I really miss him! I have been making decorations for the 4th and Summer in general and I made a project using the cute His Little Ones Soldier from Inspired Stamps!

I had some extra scraps of wood from a project from last summer. I am finally getting around to using them for something! YAY! I painted them white and let them dry. Then I cut out some patriotic paper and used modge podge. I colored the soldier with my copics, I tried to make him resemble my hubby's old BDU's that are in the garage. See that cute star above his head? That's from the Psalm 91 Protection set; there are so many wonderful stamps in this set and I use it ALOT! I let him dry and then used modge podge on him as well. I love it! He looks so stinkin' cute on my mantle!

Please make sure you visit the wonderful ladies on the design team, you can find the links to their blogs on the right. They are such fabulous, talented ladies and I always look forward to seeing what they create!

  2. Great project Shana, love it! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog today too. I understand about the OWH Starburst card, my first one went in the trash cuz it looked rather strange too :)

You asked about where in Arizona I live. We are in Parker on the AZ/CA border along the Colorado River. I grew up in Lake Havasu City, AZ 35 miles away.

    Happy 4th of July!
